Image Optimization

I just can’t stress how important image optimization is.

Most newbie web designers simply take the image directly from the camera and insert into their new site. The problem with this is most digital cameras create LARGE files that take a long time to load. This often makes the website look unresponsive or like it’s “crashed”.

“You must optimize your images before placing on your website!”

I usually recommend Photoshop Elements to my customers. It gives you the ability to crop & re size your photos as well as some neat tricks for superimposing text and creating starbursts etc.. Photoshop Elements is the best, it’s usually around $100.00 but there are some free programs available…
